Jan Ost

Jan Ost, co-founder and clinical director of BRAI3N, is a leading specialist in non-invasive neuromodulation. Since January 2024, he has been recognized as an rTMS supervisor by the Dutch government, an important step for reimbursing rTMS treatments and possible recognition in Belgium.

After graduating in nursing in 1998, Jan started his career at Antwerp University Hospital, where his passion for neuromodulation grew and, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Dirk De Ridder and Prof. Dr. Sven Vanneste, he grew to become a neurophysiologist. He plays a crucial role in translating experimental neuromodulation techniques into clinical applications.

With nearly 20 years of experience and supervision over 10,000 treatments per year, Jan is among the most experienced specialists worldwide.

In addition to his clinical work, Jan has contributed to 25+ scientific publications, two book chapters and five doctoral projects. His work forms a bridge between science and practice, so that neuromodulation continues to evolve and patients have a better future.
